The last Friday of every month there is no school in Mexico. And I was pleasantly surprised to find a number of different workshops and classes geared towards these kids who are now free during the day. We learned about a workshop at the planetarium so this morning I checked the girls in at 8:45 and found myself eerily without kids for the next 5 hours.
They reported that it was a good day, with a video about planets and constellations, some time viewing the sun through the telescope, some games and activities, a yummy lunch and finally a craft where they made kaleidoscopes. The event received two thumbs up from Zoe but just one from Haley, who thought it was a little on the young side.
When we returned home we found this picture on the planetarium’s Facebook page, highlighting the day’s workshop and the kids who joined. If you look closely you can find Haley at least twice and a little tiny bit of Zoe.
Just another day in the life of a kidpat in Mexico…
