Phase 1 of “Pause from Panama” has ended and Dan and Zoe are on their way back to the land of the humidity! We had a wonderful time in Orlando. It’s just the right place for a vacation. We did amusement parks (3 days), water parks (2 days), daily trips to Target, two outlet malls, a late-night trip to Walmart that lasted well past midnight and we did loads of iTunes downloading in the zippy wifi at our rental house. A good time was had by all. We were lucky to be joined by BFF Kali for a few days and Aunt Kim is now here for a few days as well. Sharing the love!
Being back in the USA allowed me to notice a change in Haley, even after only 8 months. Haley has never been one to ask for directions, ask a sales person for help, make small talk with the checkout gal or ask strangers for the time. Well, all that has now changed. That girl was talking to strangers like a champ. When I asked her why, she replied “Because I can”. Looks like someone missed speaking in English…?
Haley started her computer programming camp at a local university this morning and during the day Aunt Kim and I are hanging out. There will be a movie or two, a mall or two and a truffle or two. A good time will be had by all!
