Tomorrow we depart for our first “pause” from Panama. It’s time for another border run to reset the clock on our tourist visa, the girls are out of public school for a week vacation and we want Haley to continue her computer programming education she started last year. So all of this led us to book a 2-week vacation in Orlando, Florida. It’s our first trip back to the states since we arrived here 8 months ago and we are beyond excited!
While we are there we will see Disneyworld, check out Universal Studios (we are all Harry Potter fans), meet up with Aunt Kim and of course hunt down all our favorite retail and food establishments.
We sweetened the pot by inviting Haley’s BFF Kali to join us from Arizona. She’ll be flying in and spending part of the first week with us. The second week will be spent shuttling Haley to her computer camp at a local university.
Most of the expats who are here long term say the same thing: the best way to live in Panama is to leave it every once in awhile.
